BCrypt::Errors:Invalidhash at /login

#2

I'm trying to login to the application using the default user created by app.rb admin/admin77 and I get the following error:

BCrypt::Errors:Invalidhash at /login
invalid hash
file:bcrypt.rb location:initialize line:166

The trace indicates that the correct user and apssword is being passed

Please advise.

Thanks!

    Investigating.

    Can you tell me your platform and ruby version? Also your bcrypt-ruby version. That will help me replicate the bug.

    We have done our dev on OSX so far using 1.8.6 and 1.8.7

    I also just nuked my redis dataset and re-initialized and did not hit this issue. Will continue invetigating.

    I'll get a Ubuntu VM running and track this down ASAP. Sorry about the trouble.

    Thanks for confirming.

    Ok, reproduced it on my home server, which runs Ubuntu.

    Ok, it is an incompatability between Ohm and the rather old redis-server package in ubuntu

    If you download the latest redis source from:

    http://redis.googlecode.com/files/redis-1.2.3.tar.gz

    untar it

    The build it:

    make

    then run it, I suggest putting it in the background:

    ./redis-server 2>&1 > redis.out &

    Then run the app, it will re-init itself:

    rake app

    Then try logging in.

    It works for me on my ubuntu machine now.

    Woot.
